You’ll find Heathrow Short Stay Parking right next to each of the terminals at the airport. It’s ideal for meeting or dropping passengers and a great option for short trips away if you book online.

You can book Short Stay Parking in advance for stays of two hours or more at Terminal 2, 3 or 5.

Height restrictions

All the Short Stay Car Parks have height limits as follows.

  • Terminal 2 (Short Stay car park 2): 2.2 metres (7ft 2in)
  • Terminal 3 (Short Stay car park 3): 2.2 metres (7ft 2in)
  • Terminal 4 (Short Stay car park 4): 2.0 metres (6ft 6in)
  • Terminal 5 (Short Stay car park 5): 2.2 metres (7ft 2in)

Overheight vehicles

Terminal 2

Customers may park vehicles up to 3 metres (9ft 8in) high in the designated overheight area on the ground floor of Short Stay Car Park 2. There is a minimum charge of £13.00 for up to two hours.

Terminal 3

Customers may park vehicles up to 2.4 metres (8ft) high on the ground floor of Short Stay Car Park 3.

Terminal 4

Customers may park vehicles over 2 metres high and/or 2.1 metres wide at Long Stay Terminal 4, where they will be charged the Short Stay tariff for up to six hours (normal tariffs apply after this time). Customers must validate their ticket at the customer service building prior to departure.

Terminal 5

Customers should use the Fast Track / Overheight Vehicles entrance on the ground floor of Short Stay Car Park 5. This area has a minimum charge of £13.00 for up to two hours.

Alternatively, customers may park vehicles over 2 metres high and/or 2.1 metres wide at Long Stay Parking Terminal 5, where they will be charged the Short Stay tariff for up to six hours (normal tariffs apply after this time). Customers must validate their ticket at the customer service building prior to departure.

Picking up and dropping off

The terminal forecourts are drop-off only – waiting isn’t allowed for security reasons. If you’re picking up passengers you should use the Short Stay car parks.

Alternatively you can use the Long Stay car park for 2 hours for free. Please note that re-entry to Heathrow Long Stay Parking is prohibited within 24 hours. This facility is not available to private hire and trade vehicles. All exits will need to be verified by a member of the car parking team either on site or via Exit intercom.

Electric vehicle charging

Electricity is provided free of charge in our Short Stay car parks for customers to charge their electric vehicles (EV).

  • Short Stay 2: There are 25 EV charging points throughout this car park, with 5-6 designated spaces on each level of the car park, adjacent to the downward spiral, being the first spaces available on each level. There are also two EV charging spaces on the ground floor in the Overheight Parking area.
  • Short Stay 3: There are two EV charging points serving four designated spaces. These are located on Level 3 at the rear of the level, in close proximity to the entry/exit spirals.
  • Short Stay 4: There are two EV charging points serving four designated spaces. These are located on Level 2, opposite the passenger lift area, facing the rear of the car park (east) – look out for the green pillar wraps.
  • Short Stay 5: There are two EV charging points serving four designated spaces. These are located on Level 2 (next to the POD Parking area), adjacent to the passenger lifts, facing the Terminal building (north).

Time can be short when you travel for business. Our Heathrow Business car parks make catching your flight easy, with convenient parking closer to the airport terminals – and an even faster and more frequent transfer service.

Heathrow Business Parking is suitable for travellers wanting to leave their car for a few days – and looking for greater convenience. You’ll find the Business car parks even closer to the terminals than Long Stay.

Drive your own car straight to the airport and drop it off quickly with our Heathrow Meet & Greet service. It’s a service you must book in advance, but it’s perfect for those who want the convenience of valet parking at an even more affordable rate. It’s great if you’re on a tight schedule, travelling with children or have lots of baggage.

Simply drive to the dedicated area in our Short Stay car park. Our staff will meet you and park your car while you check in for your flight.

Long Stay Parking

Heathrow Long Stay Parking is great if you’re going away for a couple of days or more. And it’s perfect for holidays or longer trips too. So fly from any Heathrow terminal and enjoy free transfers – spot-on if you prefer to drive your own car to the airport, rather than dealing with a minicab.

Convenience

Catch a shuttle bus – they run every 10 minutes to each terminal, and the transfer takes as little as 3 minutes. (Average journey times Terminal 2: 10.7 minutes; Terminal 3: 18 minutes; Terminal 4: 5.04 minutes; Terminal 5: 7.56 minutes).

Terminal 4‘s Long Stay Car Park is just off the Southern Perimeter Road. Find it by satnav – latitude: +51.45533 longitude: -0.44848.

The Long Stay Car Park for Terminal 5 is on the Northern Perimeter Road next to Business Parking (Terminals 2 and 3). Satnav coordinates for this car park are latitude: +51.47986 longitude: -0.46902.

A business car park specifically for those flying from Terminal 5. Your transfer to the terminal is easy – just call up the new revolutionary Heathrow Pod, which takes four to six minutes.

This car park offers a convenient and affordable alternative to parking at the terminal.

POD service outage

Due to Protester action involving the threat of Drone activity risking airfield operations, our POD system has been suspended, Heathrow has activated contingency plans, operating a bus replacement service via Terminal 5 Arrivals Forecourt Bus Stop 28 (Business 5 Parking). Regular shuttles will operate between the car parks throughout the weekend (Friday 13th to Sunday 15th September) resuming regular service from Monday 16th September from 03:00hrs. NB: If you arrive out with these times an on-demand shuttle bus service is available.

POD parking accessibility

The POD system is fully designed for wheelchair use. The platform to POD is a flat step-free surface to easily allow passengers to embark/disembark with a wheelchair. The floor is also covered with a non-slip material for traction. The floor space is greater than 1300mm by 750mm, which is the smallest regulated space for a wheelchair user, and all buttons are accessible assuming normal range of arm movement.

The vehicle is designed according to regulations and was tested with a reference wheelchair which is 1200mm x 700mm x 1350mm, and it was able to turn through 180 degrees.

Max headroom is 150cm
From seat to seat the measurement is 133cm and from door to door (side to side) the measurement is 115cm.
